Terms of Service

Last updated: August 10, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of BidLight’s software, services and website, operated by BidLight (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, installing the plugin or using the service you agree to them.

1. The service

BidLight publishes BIM software — including the Revit plugin and the estimation and takeoff tools — and provides related digital transformation services. These terms cover the software, this website, and any account you hold with us. Separate written agreements for professional services take precedence over these terms where they conflict.

2. Accounts

You must give accurate registration details, keep your credentials safe, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for the business you represent.

3. Licence

A paid subscription grants your organisation a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the software for the number of seats you bought, for as long as the subscription is current.

You may not sublicense, resell, rent out or share seats beyond the licensed count, and you may not reverse-engineer the software except where the law expressly allows it.

4. Your project data

Your models, quantities, prices and project files remain yours. You grant us only the rights needed to process them so the product can do its job for you.

We do not sell your project data, share it with other customers, or use identifiable project data to market to anyone.

5. Third-party platforms

BidLight works alongside Autodesk Revit, BIM 360 and similar platforms. Your use of those products stays governed by their own licences and terms, and keeping those licences current is yours to do.

6. Subscriptions, billing and refunds

Paid plans bill in advance and renew until cancelled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund requests can be made within 7 days of a charge, and pro-rated refunds may be available for unused periods. Custom development, training and done-for-you estimation work is non-refundable once delivered.

7. Estimates are estimates

Quantities, costs and forecasts produced by BidLight are calculated from the model and the assumptions you supply. They are decision support, not a guaranteed bill of quantities or a certified estimate, and they should be reviewed by a qualified estimator before being relied on for a bid or a contract.

8. Intellectual property

The software, the site and the BidLight branding belong to BidLight. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to infringe anyone’s rights, to send spam through it, or to attempt to disrupt it or reach another customer’s data.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or where we must to protect the service. On termination we will make your data available for export for 30 days before deleting it.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every version of every third-party platform, or any particular commercial outcome.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, BidLight is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost bids, lost profits or project delays. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Changes, governing law and contact

We may update these terms and will change the “last updated” date above; continued use after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
