This policy explains what BidLight collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers both the personal details we hold about you and the project data we process on behalf of your business.
What we collect
When you ask for a demo or write to us: your name, work email, company, phone if you give it, and whatever you put in the message.
When you hold an account: your name, work email, company, and a hashed password or the identifier from the sign-in provider you used. We never receive your password from a third-party provider.
When you use the software: licence and seat information, version and environment details, and error diagnostics that tell us what broke.
Standard server logs, including IP address and browser user agent, kept for security and debugging.
Your project data
Models, quantities, prices and project files are processed so the product can do its job for you. They belong to you.
We do not sell them, share them with other customers, or use identifiable project data for marketing.
Cookies and analytics
A session cookie when you are signed in, preference cookies for choices you make, and analytics that tell us which pages get read. You can block cookies in your browser; the site still works, and signing in will not persist between visits.
How we use it
To run and support the software, to answer you when you get in touch, to bill you, to keep the service secure, and — where you asked for it — to send product news. Every marketing email can unsubscribe you.
Who else sees it
The hosting, email, analytics and payment providers we use to run the service. They act under contract and only for that purpose.
Anyone we are legally required to disclose to. We do not sell or rent your data.
How long we keep it
Account and billing records for as long as your account is open, and afterwards only as long as tax and accounting rules require. Project data is available for export for 30 days after an account closes, then deleted.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit and access to production data is limited to the people who operate the service. No system is perfect; if a breach affects your data we will tell you.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it and close your account. Email [email protected] and we will complete the request within 30 days.

We will revise the “last updated” date above when this policy changes.
