Every export in BidLight is versioned, and the model save is tied to the issue that changed it. So the proof already exists before anyone asks. Here is how you pull it. 1.

Every export in BidLight is versioned, and the model save is tied to the issue that changed it. So the proof already exists before anyone asks. Here is how you pull it.

Open the project record for the element the change order touches.

Pull the issue history. Each issue shows the tagged user and the model commit that fixed it.

Check the version list. Every export is stamped as its own version, so you can see which one the crew was working against.

Send the screenshot and the commit with the change order. That is the proof of what the crew built from.

This is the part that stops arguments on the job. The team sees what changed in about 15 minutes instead of a 90-minute meeting. No side-by-side PDF comparison. No hunting through Teams and email for the right file.

A clash caught in the model costs about $50 to fix. Found in the field, the same clash runs $5,000 to $50,000. The version record is how you keep it in the model and keep the change order honest.
