Everything in BidLight comes from your own model and your own team. Nothing is pulled from an outside cost source. You publish from Revit, or from the federated model in Navisworks.

You publish from Revit, or from the federated model in Navisworks. Each publish becomes a versioned snapshot with its own files, author and milestone. That snapshot is the record.

Here is what sits in it:

Geometry and metadata read from the model, grouped by category: structural, MEP, envelope, interior.

Issues pinned to the elements they concern, carrying the sheet and revision they came from.

Proof of resolution: a screenshot, a tagged user and the model commit that fixed the issue.

Ownership: who holds each issue, and who is behind, shown in the 6am daily digest.

The point is one record kept as the work happens. Nobody rebuilds the history from email threads. The cost control follows from that: a clash caught in the model costs about $50, and the same clash found in the field costs $5,000 to $50,000.
