When a door moves two inches, that shows up as a change on that element, because the record and the model are the same thing.</p> <p>You publish from Revit or Navisworks and every publish becomes a versioned snapshot with its own files, author and milestone. Any two revisions compare element by element, so you can show exactly which elements changed, who published the change and when.</p> <p>Issues are pinned to the elements they concern, with the sheet and revision they came from. Closing one needs a screenshot, a tagged user and the linked model commit.</p> <p>That is the difference from a spreadsheet log or a static PDF.
