<p>BidLight makes steel changes visible by versioning every publish and comparing revisions element by element, so a beam resize cannot hide in a model update.</p> <p>Each publish from Revit or Navisworks is a snapshot with its own files, author and milestone. Pick any two revisions and BidLight lists what moved, grouped by category: structural, MEP, envelope, interior. A steel spec change shows up in the structural group without anyone reading through drawings.</p> <p>To keep steel visible on a live job:</p> <ul><li>Compare the latest publish to the revision the field is using, at least weekly.</li><li>Check structural changes first, since they push work onto other trades.</li><li>Pin an issue to each changed element so it carries the sheet and revision.</li><li>Assign an owner, who then sees it in the 6am digest.</li></ul> <p>Everyone works from the same current revision, and you can show where every steel change came from. Coordinators lose about 11 hours a week working out which version is current. This takes about 15 minutes.</p>
