How many hours a week will my team actually get back by not chasing which model

About 11 hours a week per team. That is just the time spent working out which model version is current. Most of a working day and a half back, before you count the meeting that follows.

About 11 hours a week per team, and that is just the time spent working out which model version is current. That is most of a working day and a half back before you count the meeting that follows.

Here is where those hours go now. Someone moved a duct. Nobody knows who, when, or why. So the coordination meeting becomes a hunt through PDFs and old exports, two hours gone, and the same question comes back next week. Old and new versions get compared by eye. Issues live scattered across Teams, email and Bluebeam, and nobody can find the one that matters.

BidLight ends that chase. Every export is versioned and diffed element by element, so the team sees what changed in about 15 minutes instead of a 90-minute meeting. Issues are pinned to the element they concern and close only with proof: a screenshot, a tagged user and the model commit that fixed it. The 6am digest tells each owner what they own, so nobody starts the day guessing.

The saving shows up on the schedule too. A clash caught in the model costs about $50. The same clash found in the field runs $5,000 to $50,000, and an unresolved one can burn $15K to $50K a week in idle field labour behind it. Fewer version hunts, fewer field surprises, fewer idle crews.
