How do i hand a project over to the next coordinator without losing its history

Hand over the login, not a folder of files. BidLight keeps one live record of the project inside Revit and Navisworks, so the history stays with the model, not with whoever ran the last meeting.

Hand over the login, not a folder of files. BidLight keeps one live record of the project inside Revit and Navisworks, so the history stays with the model, not with whoever was running the last meeting.

Here is how to do it:

Make sure the current model is published. Every export is versioned and compared element by element, so the new coordinator sees what changed and when.

Leave the issues where they are. Issues are pinned to the element they concern, so nothing has to be re-explained in a meeting.

Check that open issues carry proof: the screenshot, the tagged owner and the model commit that fixed it. Issues close only with proof, so the next person knows what is actually done.

Turn on the 6am digest for the new owner. It tells them what they own, daily, without a handover call.

Point them at the project view. They can see who is behind while there is still schedule to recover.

The alternative is what most teams do: scattered threads, PDFs compared side by side, 11 hours a week lost working out which version is current. A new coordinator walks into that blind. With the record intact, they get the change history in about 15 minutes instead of a 90-minute meeting.
