<p>A messy model does not break coordination, but more of it needs a manual look. Existing-conditions models often carry unlabelled walls, missing types and inconsistent phasing, and the comparison can only show what is in the model.</p> <ul><li>Set phasing properly. Tag existing, demo and new elements in Revit so a revision comparison does not mix them.</li><li>Name families and types consistently, even roughly.</li><li>Publish early, so the messy baseline is on record and each cleanup shows up as a tracked change.</li><li>Compare revisions by category and review the ones where most cleanup happened.</li><li>Pin an issue to each area where the model and the field disagree.</li></ul> <p>Every publish is a versioned snapshot, so you can see the model improving over time.</p> <p>Cleanup pays back later.
