Beyond the hours lost each bid week what does manual takeoff really cost you

The hours are only part of it. The bigger cost is the change nobody flagged, because that one turns into rework on site.

The hours are only part of it. The bigger cost is the change nobody flagged, because that one turns into rework on site.

When updates arrive by email, Teams and 47 versions of the same markup, someone has to work out which model is current. That costs about 11 hours a week. And a clash that sits 47 days can burn $28,000 in idle field labor.

BidLight takes the hand work out:

Every export is a versioned snapshot, so there is one answer to "which version is current?"

Any two revisions compare element by element, so a change cannot hide.

Issues pin to the element and carry the sheet and revision that raised them.

Closing an issue needs a screenshot, a tagged user and the model commit that fixed it.

The result is fewer places for rework to hide, and a record you can point to when someone asks who changed what.
